Founder and teacher: Deborah Prentice

My name is Deborah Prentice, I've danced since the age of 6 in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and a smattering of other styles. In ballet, I passed Checcetti Advanced level and in jazz, performed professionally in films, fashion parades and at venues around Melbourne such as the Malthouse and Myer Music Bowl. As a teacher, I've taught 3 year olds to adults in dance schools, after school programs and at Monash University. I continue to dance now and have found it to be the best fun and, later on, the best stress relief you can get!

Teacher: Ashleigh Trimmer

Ashleigh has been dancing since she was 6 years old and will become qualified this year with a Southern Federation of Dance Teachers Certificate (specialising in Jazz). Her preferred styles are Classical Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary and she regularly performs in both State and National Dance Competitions. Furthermore, Ashleigh has completed up to levels 8 in Jazz and pre-elementary in Classical Ballet SFD syllabus. Ashleigh thoroughly enjoys teaching and has commenced teaching children and adults in the last few years. She is greatly looking forward to teaching at Dragonfly Dance.

From time to time other guest teachers will be invited to teach the classes to give the children a bit of variety and exposure to other teaching styles.
